Introduction to IWCEA International

IWCEA International is an association formed by European exhibitors from France, Germany, and Austria, driven by a shared objective: to enhance the international promotion of their respective industries. Established in cooperation with Messe Düsseldorf, a prominent trade fair organizer, the association serves as a key partner in facilitating global exposure for its members.

History and Structure

The association's roots trace back to 1988 when it was founded as the Association des Exposants à la Foire Internationale du Fil et du Câble (AFIEF). In 2003, it underwent a rebranding, adopting its current name, International Wire & Cable Exhibitors Association – France and French-speaking countries (IWCEA France). IWCEA International functions as an umbrella organization, bringing together the presidents of its three national associations. This international structure provides partial funding for the national entities, fostering a cohesive and dynamic approach to international engagement.

Mission and Activities

At its core, IWCEA International aims to support its members by fostering a collaborative environment. This includes organizing meetings, facilitating the sharing of experiences, and enabling the pooling of resources. These activities are designed to streamline and enhance members' access to Messe Düsseldorf's extensive network of partner salons across all continents. The association’s focus is on the wire and cable industry, working to ensure its European exhibitors have a strong and coordinated presence on the global stage.

Leadership and Expertise

The association is led by a dedicated team, including President François Chambellant, Secretary Cathy Dietrich (Numalliance), and Treasurer Véronique Greusset (ISIS). Mr. Chambellant, an experienced commercial executive from CONDAT sa with over 25 years of tenure, brings a background as a generalist engineer with international experience and an EMBA. His involvement with the association since 2010, initially as treasurer and on the market research committee, underscores his commitment and expertise, particularly in intelligence and data management within commercial and marketing contexts. This leadership ensures a strategic direction focused on intercultural challenges, mutualized efforts, and complementary expertise.
