GF-ELTI and Arvedi double down: a new heat treatment line is up and running
Arvedi Tubi Acciaio doubles down on innovation with new GF-ELTI heat treatment line
Arvedi Tubi Acciaio (ATA), a European leader in the hot-formed structural tube production sector, known for its unique facilities and know-how developed over years of experience, has once again selected GF-ELTI — a leading company in the production of furnaces, industrial plants, and heat treatment services — to supply a new heat treatment line for its tube mill in Cremona.
The new line represents the doubling of the plant already supplied by GF-ELTI in 2019, confirming the strength of the collaboration between the two companies and showcasing the excellent performance achieved with the first installation.
This latest addition stands out for its even more advanced technology, integrating innovative solutions developed by GF-ELTI specifically based on ATA’s operational experience with the first system.
The new line optimizes energy consumption through the use of next-generation GF-ELTI auto-recuperative radiant tube burners. These burners are managed using the innovative H2Burn® technology, developed by GF-ELTI to enable the use of hydrogen-methane blends, resulting in a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions.
The new plant processes a wider range of shaped tubes and significantly increases ATA’s productivity in terms of normalized products. Production takes place in a dedicated facility, which has been expanded for this production increase and equipped with a photovoltaic roof that makes it energy self-sufficient.

The two heat treatment lines built by GF-ELTI and now operational at Arvedi Tubi Acciaio enable the production of a product that is unique on the market — in terms of mechanical, surface, and dimensional characteristics — capable of meeting the most demanding requirements of the advanced steel construction sector.
