ICM, an historical company established in Milan in 1965, has become part of the CME group. Its origins in motor design and manufacturing trace back to I.C.M. Motori srl since 1955. Initially focused on customized machined parts, ICM expanded in the 1980s to produce specialized electric motors. Products and Solutions
CME offers a diverse portfolio of electric motors for industrial applications, including High Efficiency Motors (IE2 and IE3, IEC 60034-30 compliant), low overall dimension motors (Serie 'R'), and extruded motors (Serie 'E'). The product line also features torque three-phase electric motors (C and Cf series), sliding three-phase electric motors (SC-SNC Va-V series, or slip-ring motors), asynchronous single/three-phase motors, and double polarity motors. Additionally, CME manufactures various transducers, such as the Transducer 80/15/B01 AC-AC and 80/15/B01C AC-DC.
Technical Features and Applications
CME motors are engineered for performance and reliability. High-efficiency models are available in 2, 4, and 6 poles for continuous duty (S1), with rated powers between 0.75 and 375 kW and nominal voltages up to 1000V. Torque motors (C and CF series) feature 6/8/12 poles with Class 'F' or 'H' insulation, designed for constant torque. Sliding (slip-ring) motors (SC-SCN series) come in 4, 6, or 8 poles, with specific speed ranges and options for thermal probes, encoders, and electromagnetic brakes. These products are widely used in cable winding, metal wire, yarn, and adhesive tape winding, roller conveyors, textile, packaging, food, refrigeration, air conditioning, water treatment, and general ventilation systems, demonstrating their versatility.
