Advanced Wire Guides and Nozzles
COSMOS offers a diverse range of wire guides, including diamond-polished bow guides, which reduce friction and wire damage in twisting applications. Their Tungsten Carbide wire guides are noted for excellent hardness, toughness, superior surface finish, and electrical conductivity, available as bow, eyelet, and ring guides. The company provides various eyelet guides, such as grooved, slotted, flanged, and electrically conductive options. COSMOS also delivers a comprehensive selection of nozzles, primarily in Solid Tungsten Carbide and Ruby/Sapphire. Tungsten Carbide nozzles feature mirror-finished bores, complex geometries, and precise concentricity, with hardness values of 1,400 – 1,600 HV and surface roughness of 0.05 – 0.1 microns Ra. These are capable of handling fine wires down to Ø 0.025 mm. While Ruby and Sapphire tipped nozzles offer even higher hardness (1,800 – 2,200 Vickers) and finer surface roughness, COSMOS highlights the long-term reliability of Tungsten Carbide over steel or ruby-tipped alternatives due to their resistance to impact damage and prevention of insulation impairment.
Specialized Pulleys and Air Wipes
The company's pulley offerings span six categories, including caged, flanged, High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), high temperature, solid alumina, and thermal sprayed options. These pulleys are designed for various applications like coil winding, tension control, and high-temperature environments (up to 1,000°C for alumina). They offer durable wear strips in hardened carbon steel and electroless-nickel plated carbon steel, the latter providing enhanced hardness, self-lubrication, and extended service life. The company maintains stocked molds for frequently requested flyer bows to expedite delivery. Additionally, COSMOS manufactures various ceramic tubes (Alumina, Mullite, Titania) for diverse industrial roles and offers welding butts made of glass or mullite for resistance welding applications.
