Wire and cable welding. Strecker decides to withdraw the participation in wire 2020

Below is a letter from the Strecker team explaining why they decided to cancel their presence as exhibitors at wire 2020, a trade fair in which the German company has participated for many years.

"Ladies and Gentlemen,

Due to the still prevailing pandemic, we have decided not to participate in this year's wire 2020 trade fair in Düsseldorf (December 7-11, 2020).
We do this after careful consideration, as we would have liked to present our new developments and proven products to a knowledgeable specialist audience. The trade fair is also always a welcome opportunity to personally greet long-standing customers.

All that has to stand back now, as we are aware of our responsibility towards customers and employees: we don't want to expose anyone to a health risk, which would be unavoidable under the given circumstances.

It is foreseeable that the increasing number of infections worldwide will lead to an expansion of the already existing travel restrictions and quarantine regulations in many countries. Therefore, many international trade fair visitors will understandably refrain from participating.
We trust that a vaccine or at least medicine against the virus will soon enable us to meet each other again openly and without restrictions.

Until then, please stay healthy and take care of each other - see you again at the next fair at the latest!"
