Maze Nails, a division of W. H. Maze Company, is recognized as America's largest manufacturer of specialty nails. With a heritage spanning over 173 years and six generations of family involvement, the company originated in 1848 as Maze Lumber in Peru, Illinois, founded by Samuel Nesbitt Maze. The nail division was established in the late 1800s to address the need for more durable fasteners, pioneering rust-resistant zinc nails and later developing the ZINCLAD® hot-dipped nails in the early 1900s. Maze Nails expanded its offerings through the acquisition of Independent Nail in 1990, consolidating operations in its Peru, Illinois plant.

Fastener finishes include bright, electro-galvanized, and their exclusive STORMGUARD® Double Hot-Dip Galvanized coating, which carries a lifetime warranty. Shank types offered are plain, ring (Anchor-Down®), spiral (Screw-Down®), fluted, and traditional cut nails. Many products meet specific technical requirements, such as Miami-Dade County Approval for roofing nails and compliance with ASTM A-153 and F1667 standards. The company also provides pre-finished, color-matched painted nails for aesthetic integration.
