Modular and configurable structure

Elav can supply all needed components to build a complete extrusion line, designing and configuring them based on the customer’s specific production requirements. Elav offers:

• LCE series extruders (Low Consumption Extruder): designed for insulation, sheathing, filling, and skin layers, available in diameters from 35 to 160 mm. They ensure reduced energy consumption thanks to optimized screw profiles and the option of gravimetric multi-component dosing management system.

• Pay-offs and take-ups: cantilever, sliding arms or portal versions, they are equipped with AC Vector or Brushless motors to guarantee stability even with large reels — also available in automatic versions for higher performance and increased operator safety.

• Capstans and caterpillars: a wide range to meet any pulling requirement, up to 1500 m/min.

• Accumulators: horizontal or vertical, with motorized or pneumatic actuators, to ensure continuous operation during reel changes.

• Dancers: vertical or horizontal, for smooth line tension management.

• Dosing systems: volumetric, gravimetric, and batch systems for various compound mixtures. High-precision liquid injection systems for liquid silane (featuring the patented Si-Jet system) are also available, integrable into the line for optimal material dosing control.

Processable materials and available configurations

Elav lines can process a wide range of thermoplastic materials: PE, XLPE, XLPE Monosil, PP, PVC, HFFR, PU, TPE, FEP, and Coex configurations (2, 3, or 4 layers) or Tandem. The company also specializes in insulation and sheathing lines for rubber cables (Steam CV lines) and XLPE cables (Nitrogen CV Lines).
