Landgraf S.R.L. is an Italian company with a rich history dating back to its foundation on September 12, 1962, by Eng. Fernando Landgraf. Initially established in Milan, the company has evolved significantly, including a period from 1998 to 2005 as 'SMS Eumuco S.p.A. Landgraf division' under the German multinational SMS Group. Since 2005, it has operated independently as LANDGRAF S.R.L., maintaining its core principles while embracing innovation. The company recently celebrated 60 years of operation and has expanded into a new, modern factory in Legnano (MI), reflecting its growth and commitment to advanced production capabilities. Landgraf specializes in designing and manufacturing machines and complete plants for the cold finishing of round bars, catering to both steel and non-ferrous materials.
Products and Services
Landgraf offers a comprehensive range of machinery for cold finishing, including:
- Peeling Machines: Models KI/KC for medium diameter bars (10-160mm) with feeding speeds up to 45m/min and h8 diameter tolerance; Model KW for wire coils and small diameters (5-50mm) featuring high rotation speeds; and Model SI for large forged bars (80-600mm) capable of significant material removal (up to 30mm) and achieving Ra 0.4 μm surface roughness. These machines remove surface defects and cracks, transforming raw material into precise round bars.
- Two Rolls Straightening Machines: Model RM for raw bars (8-200mm) achieving 1mm/m straightness, and Model RR for bright/finished bars (8-200mm) delivering exceptional straightness down to 0.1mm/m and Ra < 0.2 μm roughness, ensuring a shiny, uniform surface.
- Centreless Grinding Machines: Models G and R, known for achieving high standards in dimensional tolerances (down to h5), roundness, and surface finish (Ra < 0.1 μm). Their unique design separates material removal and advance areas, allowing for greater chip removal capacity and reduced passes.
- Chamfering and Facing Machines (BA/BFD) and Sawing Machines (S/SC): Designed for precise end-processing, adaptable for various bar types, including hexagonal and square.
- Integrated Production Lines: Landgraf provides fully automated solutions for complete bar production, incorporating features like continuous dimensional control, straightness and defect detection, and comprehensive packaging systems.
