Company Overview and Heritage
SICME Italiaimpianti MC S.r.l., based in Druento (Turin), Italy, is a prominent manufacturer of enamelling machines for copper and aluminium wires. The company's roots trace back to two distinct entities: SICME SpA, founded in 1955, and ITALIA IMPIANTI, established in 1970. These two industry specialists merged in late 2004 to form SICME ITALIA IMPIANTI, later rebranding in 2016 to SICME ITALIAIMPIANTI MC. This consolidation leveraged over 95 years of combined experience, establishing a robust production center spanning 19,000 sqm, with 10,000 sqm dedicated to operational departments including offices, mounting areas, a research laboratory, and a spare parts warehouse. The company prides itself on its '100% Made in Italy' certification.
Advanced Products and Innovative Technology
The company specializes in providing complete enamelling plants, offering both horizontal and vertical machines for round and flat copper and aluminium wires, ranging from the smallest to the largest strips. Their product lines include the Compact and SuperCompact series, alongside machines for rod breakdown and multiwire drawing. A key innovation is their award-winning technology that significantly reduces energy consumption for thermal power in enamelling ovens by utilizing natural gas. SICME Italiaimpianti MC is currently the sole global manufacturer offering this natural gas-powered thermal solution, recognized with the HW BENNETT Non-Ferrous AWARD for its energy-saving capabilities.
Commitment to Quality and Customer Support
SICME Italiaimpianti MC maintains a comprehensive in-house approach, manufacturing most plant components and accessories internally. All finished machines undergo rigorous testing within their factory, including specialized vertical machine testing in a 20-meter high tower, ensuring high quality and reliability before delivery. The company employs a team of experienced professionals across various disciplines, from technologists and engineers to skilled technicians. Furthermore, a dedicated 1000 sqm spare parts warehouse, retaining original designs and intellectual property since 1958, ensures long-term support and availability of components for even legacy machines. They also offer a range of spare parts like drawing rings, cones, idlers, and pulleys with various coatings.
