EJP Maschinen GmbH completes FAT on bar processing line bound for the USA
EJP Maschinen GmbH has reached another important milestone on the way to delivery: in mid-May, the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of a complete peeling, straightening, testing, and chamfering line was successfully completed at the company’s facility in Baesweiler.
What is a Factory Acceptance Test?
The Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) is a formal validation process carried out at the manufacturer's facility before shipment. It allows the customer to verify on-site that the line meets all agreed specifications and performs as expected. For complex, multi-process lines, such as those manufactured by EJP, it is a critical step to ensure full integration before dismantling and transport.
Together with the customer, the line underwent an intensive one-week test phase. During this period, various material grades and diameter ranges were successfully peeled, straightened and chamfered under realistic production conditions. The results confirmed the line’s full capabilities, and the customer subsequently released the equipment for shipment.
From testing to shipment
Immediately afterwards, preparations for transport began. Following the dismantling of the line, a total of 14 containers were loaded within two weeks. The equipment is now on its way to the USA, where it will soon be installed and commissioned.
