EJP Maschinen GmbH: discover the latest bar and profile machinery
EJP Maschinen GmbH will be exhibiting at Interwire 2025, taking place at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta from May 13 to 15. Visitors to booth #700 B will discover the company’s latest developments in bar and profile machinery, including the CDS 300 drawing system designed for bar-to-bar operations and a comprehensive new bar and tube drawing line destined for the Mexican market.

While combined drawing machines usually work from coil to bar, drawing from bar-to-bar with this kind of machine is not so common. However, due to the specific needs of a US customer, EJP supplies this machine for bar-to-bar operation.
It consists of a bar loading and separating table, bar feeding conveyors, the said drawing machine as well as vertical and horizontal straightening unit. A bar receiving table and collecting table completes the supply. In addition to that, the drawing machine itself furnishes a newly developed push-pointer. Due to the unique nature of the incoming and finished product, the push-pointer serves as a “third carriage”, reducing the push-pointing time significantly.
Moreover, it is driven by an electric motor and a crankshaft system, as the customer preferred not to have any hydraulics. Last, but not least, the clamp control of the drawing carriages as well as the push-pointing carriage are fitted with the newest development of the servo-electric clamp control.

While the above-mentioned machine is ready for a pre-shipment inspection through the customer, a new bar and tube drawing system for Mexico is under assembly.
It comprises of a chain draw bench for bars and tubes (200 kN drawing force) handling equipment, a 2-roll-straightener for bars, a 10-roll-straightener for tubes and a chamfering machine to cover the complete working range from 1⁄2′′ – 2′′ (12,7 – 50,8 mm).
The complete system will go to a major Mexican producer of copper and brass products. The footprint of this equipment will be about 50 m x 10 m.
