Company Overview
Automated Industrial Machinery, Inc., commonly referred to as AIM Inc., has been a prominent provider of CNC bending machinery since its founding in 1992 by Constantine Grapsas. With manufacturing facilities strategically located in North America and Europe, including Automated Industrial Machinery Europe S.A., the company serves a global clientele. AIM Inc. has established itself as a leading supplier of 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional CNC bending equipment, addressing diverse industrial needs.
Product Portfolio and Innovation
From its inception, AIM Inc. has focused on delivering solutions for customer application challenges. The company's initial machinery was engineered to produce highly accurate and repeatable parts efficiently. A significant innovation in its history was the AccuSpiral, a CNC wire forming machine that introduced automatic programming capabilities for flat spiral shapes, which made a notable impact on the HVAC industry. Over the years, AIM Inc.'s product portfolio has expanded to encompass over 35 models of 2D and 3D CNC benders, available in both single and double-head configurations to suit various production requirements.
Advanced Capabilities and Integration
A core feature of AIM Inc.'s product design is its modular machine construction technique, which offers considerable flexibility for machine upgrades and application versatility. For example, 2D machines can be adapted to produce rectangular frames up to 72 inches (1828mm) by simply interchanging frame modules. Both 2D and 3D machines are designed to integrate a range of accessory modules, such as those for chamfering, butt welding, end forming, drilling, marking, threading, and press operations. Many of these modules are offered in-line, facilitating the turn-key manufacturing of complete end products. Recent additions to the product line include the value-oriented AccuForm Compact, an automated CNC wire bending machine designed for entry-level users, and the AccuForm 'Rebar,' a robust, dedicated rebar CNC bending machine equipped with AIM's intuitive SmartEditor™ controller.
Global Reach and Turn-Key Solutions
In its pursuit of comprehensive customer solutions, AIM Inc. collaborates with Fanuc Robotics to provide total turn-key integration. These advanced systems combine AIM Inc. bending machines with Fanuc articulated robots, enabling 'lights out' operations and supporting lean manufacturing principles for enhanced efficiency. Supported by a network of technical sales representatives across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, AIM Inc. delivers global support and automation solutions for wire and rebar manufacturing processes.
