This system eliminates the need for droppers, allowing straining posts to be planted 100 meters apart with Y-standards every 7.5 meters, which can streamline installation and reduce costs.
Beyond game fencing, Veldspan® is also tailored for cattle, goats, pigs, and sheep. Configurations include specific heights (e.g., 1.19m for cattle, goats, pigs; 1.15m/1.19m for sheep), wire gauges (typically 3.06mm for edge wires and 2.24mm for internal wires), and vertical stay spacings (e.g., 75mm, 150mm, 300mm) optimized for each animal type. This engineered approach ensures a tough fence that minimizes damage and offers efficiency in erection compared to conventional methods like diamond mesh or hexnet which require droppers.
Advanced Wire Technology
CWI-Wire also manufactures durAzink™ wire, a hot-dip galvanized steel wire produced in accordance with Standard Specification EN 10244. This innovative wire features a specialized coating combining zinc and aluminium. Zinc provides active and sacrificial protection, while aluminium offers passive protection, covering the zinc and slowing its sacrificial reaction. This dual-action coating significantly enhances corrosion resistance, allowing durAzink™ wire to withstand severe corrosive conditions much longer than conventional Heavy Galvanised (Class A) wire.
