Low carbon wire in bars
Trafilerie Malavedo supplies low carbon steel wire in bars, drawn from rod in accordance with UNI EN 10025 and UNI EN 16120, in diameters ranging from Ø 0.50 to Ø 13.00 mm with centesimal tolerances.
The product is available in a range of surface conditions to suit different downstream processes: bright (raw), soaped, copper-coated, bonderized, galvanized, and annealed (soft) versions — both drawn from raw rod and from pre-annealed rod.
The company also supplies pickled and bonderized rod as input material for cold forming operations.
Typical applications include cold heading for screws and fasteners, small metal parts (chains, nails, staples, wire mesh, clips), automotive components, and general industrial wire products.
Wire in bars is available in standard packaging formats including coils, coilers, reels, and spools.
Further processing: CNC threaded bars
For customers requiring additional processing, wire in bars is also the starting material for Trafilerie Malavedo's in-house CNC threading service, which produces precision threaded bars from Ø 5 to Ø 20 mm for structural and mechanical applications — for an in-depth overview, see the CNC threaded bars page.
