The company is at the forefront of sustainable steel production, aiming to be the first steel company to offer fossil-free steel to the market in 2026 and largely eliminate carbon dioxide emissions from its operations by around 2030. This transformation is being achieved through the HYBRIT initiative, which replaces traditional coal-based production with hydrogen-based technology.
SSAB maintains a strong financial position with a revenue of SEK 119 billion in 2023. The company is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm with a secondary listing on Nasdaq Helsinki.
