Stainless steel tubes for heating and heat exchange systems

Stainless steel tubes for heating and heat exchange systems

CSM TUBE manufactures stainless steel tubes specifically designed for domestic and industrial heating applications. Thanks to its ability to supply components with consistent thermo-mechanical properties, the company partners with leading manufacturers of heat transfer systems, offering solutions ranging from tubes in coils to semi-finished components such as dip tubes.

Technical specifications for heating tubes

  • Diameters: from 6.00 mm to 32.00 mm
  • Wall thicknesses: from 0.40 mm to 2.11 mm
  • Supply formats: straight lengths (up to 20 m), coils (up to 2200 m)

Main applications: boilers and solar thermal

The heating tube range finds its primary application in sectors where corrosion resistance and heat exchange efficiency are critical:

Boiler tubes and tubes for water heaters

Production of dip tubes and heating element tubes for electric water heaters; tubes for condensing boilers and storage systems. Supply formats facilitate the production of continuous heat exchangers, reducing joints and potential leakage points.

Solar thermal systems

Tubes are supplied in coils for the production of heat exchangers and solar collectors in renewable energy systems. The use of high-performance alloys ensures long service life even in the presence of aggressive heat transfer fluids and elevated temperatures.

Production is calibrated to meet the precision requirements typical of heating applications:

  • Materials: use of AISI steels (300 and 400 series) and nickel alloys to withstand scaling and galvanic corrosion.
  • Treatments: available as-welded tubes (W0) and heat-treated tubes (W2R) to optimize formability during coil bending and forming operations.

System integrity testing

To ensure maximum safety in closed-loop systems, each batch undergoes rigorous leak testing. Coils and straight lengths are inspected using eddy current testing systems and pressure tested up to 70 bar. This protocol ensures full weld seam integrity, eliminating the risk of failure in liquid-based heating systems.

Thanks to its ability to supply components with consistent thermomechanical properties, the company partners with leading manufacturers of heat transfer systems, offering solutions ranging from tube supply to the production of semi-finished components.
