FABTECH 2026 in Las Vegas: North America's largest fabrication show & Expometals’ exhibitor list

Preparations are underway for FABTECH 2026, scheduled for October 21 to 23 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This year's edition marks a return to Las Vegas for the first time in a decade, bringing together suppliers and professionals from across the metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing industries.
Discover FABTECH: North America's premier metal fabrication event
FABTECH is North America's largest event dedicated to metal forming, fabricating, welding, and finishing. It is jointly organized by the American Welding Society (AWS), the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association (FMA), the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), SME, and the Industrial Finishing & Coating Association (IFCA).
The 2026 edition spans more than 700,000 square feet across three halls at the Las Vegas Convention Center, with show floor admission complimentary for attendees who register before October 16, 2026 (a $50 fee applies after that date and onsite). Beyond the exhibit floor, the event includes a conference program with 180+ expert-led sessions, keynotes, and networking events such as the Emerging Leaders Program and Women of FABTECH.
Key focus areas at FABTECH 2026
The show will feature 40+ technology categories organized into dedicated pavilions covering AI, Automation, Forming and Fabricating, Tube and Pipe, Stamping and Press Automation, Welding, Finishing, and Job Shop. Exhibit categories range from additive manufacturing, robotics, and AI & machine learning to laser cutting, waterjet, stamping, roll forming, tube and pipe fabrication, and welding consumables and machines — reflecting the full production chain from raw metal to finished part.
Outlook: US steel supply chain gains ground
Behind the machinery and technology on display at FABTECH lies a shifting picture for the raw material feeding North America's fabrication industry. In 2025, the United States became the world's third-largest steel producer, overtaking Japan for the first time in 26 years: the US produced about 82 million tons of crude steel, ahead of Japan's 80.7 million tons, and up 2.5 million tons from 2024, according to the World Steel Association.
US steel mill shipments rose 5.3% year-to-date through July 2026 compared with the same period in 2025, with particularly strong growth in key flat steel products: corrosion-resistant sheet and strip shipments increased 13%, while hot-rolled sheet and strip rose 8%. Cold-rolled sheet and strip remained broadly stable, up 0.1%, according to the American Iron and Steel Institute.
At the same time, US finished steel imports fell 18.5% year over year through August, accounting for an estimated 16% of the domestic market. Together, these figures point to stronger domestic activity in the steel supply chain serving sheet metal fabricators — a relevant backdrop for the cutting, forming, stamping, welding, and finishing technologies showcased at FABTECH.
