Stainless Steel World Conference & Exhibition comes to halt at eleventh hour
It is the first Western European nation to once again impose a form of lockdown - albeit a light one - on its citizens. Since last Saturday, new, stricter rules have come into force in the Netherlands as a result of the worsening health situation related to COVID-19.
Unfortunately, fairs have also fallen victim to this decision, which will affect bars, restaurants, supermarkets, and non-essential stores - forced to early closures - as well as sporting events.
Reluctantly, the organizers of the Stainless Steel World Conference & Exhibition had to announce, with two weeks to go before the event, that it will be postponed until September 2022. “We felt that could no longer host a credible and secure Stainless Steel World Conference & Expo in November 2021 for our community,” reads the official announcement. “We would like to say a huge and heartfelt Thank You to all our sponsors, exhibitors, and participants who have expressed their support of this decision and who will return to Maastricht with us in September 2022.”
