Company Overview and History
LANTZTECH, a family-driven company based in Halmstad, Sweden, has been a prominent provider of industrial machines and equipment since its founding by Urban Lantz in 1989. Initially focusing on hydraulic crimping machines, the company has evolved significantly, integrating advanced technologies such as vision and measuring solutions by 2001 and introducing its proprietary ARC control system in 2003. LANTZTECH transitioned to fully electric crimping machines in 2018 and achieved ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications in 2022. Now led by the next generation of the Lantz family—Daniel Lantz (CEO), Christoffer Lantz (CTO), and Louise Lantz (COO)—the company maintains a commitment to in-house production, with nearly 100% of its machines manufactured in Sweden, ensuring superior quality and reliability for a global clientele.
Products and Services
LANTZTECH specializes in high-volume production solutions, primarily for the automotive sector's hose and tube industry. Its comprehensive product portfolio includes open and closed head crimping machines, engineered for consistent, repeatable crimps with options for 30 to 80 tons of force. The company offers leak and pressure testing systems (LEAKMASTER series) to validate assembly under rigorous conditions, and high-performance flushing machines (POWERFLUSH series) capable of liquid cleaning, flow/pressure testing up to 4,000 bar, and dry-air blowing. For intricate assembly tasks, the WORKFLOW series enhances efficiency and precision. LANTZTECH also provides automatic hose cutting machines (FLEXICUT series) with features like dual bobbins, color marking, and inkjet printing, alongside advanced quality control solutions such as the DIMENSION series for 2D and 3D scanning, and the VERIFY series for mechanical thread verification and vision-based inspections.
Technology and Custom Solutions
A core differentiator for LANTZTECH is its in-house developed ARC control system. This intuitive, industrial PC-based system, featuring a large touch-screen HMI and EtherCAT bus, enables advanced machine operation, detailed statistics, and seamless integration with various data management systems. The ARC system also facilitates remote support for LANTZTECH's global installations. Beyond standard offerings, the APTO series exemplifies the company's capability in custom-engineered machines. These solutions are collaboratively designed with clients to address unique production challenges, incorporating technologies like laser scanning, SCARA robots, and specialized handling systems, all supported by the ARC control system for uninterrupted performance.
