Company Overview and Heritage
Earnest Machine is a third-generation, family-owned enterprise with a rich history spanning over 77 years. Established in 1951 by Paul Ernest Zehnder, the company began by supplying war-surplus track bolts to Caterpillar dealers. It quickly evolved into a trusted purveyor of heavy-duty fasteners. Leadership transitioned through the generations, with John Zehnder becoming CEO in 1974 and his son Kirk Zehnder assuming the role in 2011. Kirk has since focused on integrating modern business practices and fostering an environment of innovation and mutual respect, building upon the company's foundational values.

Commitment to Values and Community
At its core, Earnest Machine operates on principles of integrity, customer-centricity, respect, and a commitment to continuous learning. Beyond business operations, the company demonstrates a strong dedication to social responsibility through its Clean Water Initiative. The goal is to establish 4,000 water wells in sub-Saharan Africa by 2040, aiming to transform communities by providing access to clean water. Quarterly progress reports are provided, underscoring transparency.
