REM Ressorts, established in 1982, is a French manufacturer specializing in custom-made springs. Located in Angers (Maine et Loire) in the industrial zone of Ecouflant, the company has built over 40 years of expertise in spring manufacturing.
The company's foundation story began when Didier CHIMIER, then in the oil industry, struggled to find spring suppliers meeting his needs. This led to a partnership with his brother Dominique CHIMIER and their friend Roger DREVILLON, resulting in the establishment of REM Ressorts. In 2016, Jean-Brice GEVIN took over as president, leading a team of 10 people - 5 in production and 5 in customer service roles.
REM Ressorts specializes in five main spring families: compression springs, traction springs, torsion springs, flat springs, and formed wire springs. They work with metal wire primarily in round sections, with diameters ranging from 0.1mm to 15mm, offering both individual and series production capabilities. The materials used are of European origin, with flexibility to accommodate specific economic constraints.
The company's manufacturing process encompasses a comprehensive seven-step approach: project definition, design assistance, project costing, initial sample production, sample control and delivery, series production, and final delivery. Their technical expertise allows them to produce springs for various industrial applications, from prototype development to large-scale production.
REM Ressorts maintains high quality standards through their control room equipped with various measuring and verification tools. They offer quick turnaround times, with quote responses within 24 hours and express production capabilities for urgent requests. In 2018, they expanded their operations by incorporating Anjou ressort into their business.
