SALICO S.p.A., founded in 1978 near Milan, is the parent company of the SALICO Group, a global supplier of high-performance finishing lines for carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel, copper and brass, and other non-ferrous metals. Headquartered in Molteno (LC, Italy), SALICO designs and manufactures fully tailor-made slitting and cut-to-length lines, developed to meet the specific technical and production requirements of each customer. Every system is engineered, built, and commissioned to deliver optimal performance within the client's unique operational context.

Mechanical manufacturing is a core strength of the Group and is fully integrated within SALICO’s Molteno site, which spans over 8,000 m² and houses advanced machining centers and assembly facilities. This setup ensures total control over the quality, precision, and reliability of all mechanical assemblies. The Group’s automation capabilities are provided by SALICO Automation (Italy) and SALMEC Automation (Spain), enabling the supply of turnkey systems with integrated electrical, control, and software solutions. In addition to new lines, SALICO offers comprehensive revamping services—mechanical, electrical, and automation—extending the life and enhancing the performance of existing equipment, including machines originally supplied by third-party manufacturers. This approach helps customers modernize their lines while maximizing existing assets.

SALICO operates globally through a network of specialized subsidiaries: SALICO Hispania (Spain), SES SALICO (USA), KCS Herr Voss (UK), and the recently established SALICO Metal Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (India). The Indian branch, based in Kolkata, reinforces SALICO’s presence in South Asia by offering local engineering and just-in-time technical support. With a staff of over 150 engineers, technicians, and automation specialists, SALICO supports its customers through every stage: from basic design to commissioning and after-sales service. Continuous innovation, customer-oriented approach, a certified Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015) and an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001:2018) drive the company’s operations.

Still privately owned by the founding families, SALICO combines long-term vision and technological leadership with a strong global presence and local responsiveness.
