Company Overview and Expertise
Entech Engineering Ltd. specializes in tube manipulation tooling, drawing on over 40 years of industry experience. The company delivers a professional service to a diverse market, including automotive, F1 racing, motorcycle, furniture, gymnastics, aerospace, and bathroom fitting manufacturers. Demonstrating continuous growth, Entech has secured contracts across the UK, supported by ongoing investment in high-tech machinery, quality assurance, and staff training. The company's mission is to surpass customer expectations through a commitment to excellence in toolmaking and consistent reinvestment in technology and personnel. Entech recently relocated to a larger, purpose-built facility near the M55 motorway, enhancing accessibility and opening avenues for increased capacity.
Advanced Manufacturing Capabilities
Entech Engineering has significantly invested in a new 5-axis machining centre, enabling the efficient production of complex shapes in a single setup. This technology enhances productivity, reduces fixture preparation time and cost, and minimizes alignment errors. It also facilitates the use of shorter cutting tools, leading to higher cutting speeds, extended tool life, reduced breakages, and superior surface finishes, often eliminating the need for hand finishing. The 5-axis capability also allows for rapid, cost-effective machining of intricate parts from solid material, ideal for prototypes and small runs, and offers substantial time savings in drilling holes with varied compound angles.
Complementing its machining capabilities, Entech operates a dedicated wire erosion facility equipped with modern machinery, including Accutex AU-500i and Charmilles Robofil systems. This facility manufactures precision components for demanding sectors, handling workpieces up to 980 x 560 x 265mm. The company also employs advanced software design packages such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks for 3D shapes, Bobcad for WEDM wire paths, and Hypermill for complex cutter paths, ensuring tailored solutions for specific applications.
Specialized Tooling and Products
Entech Engineering manufactures a comprehensive range of tube manipulation tooling components. These include mandrels, crucial for internal tube support during bending to prevent collapse and wrinkling, available in various shapes. Collets are produced to grip tubes of diverse profiles—round, oval, flat-sided oval, and square—for CNC/NC bending machines. The company also supplies bendformers (bend dies), pressure slides/dies (some with power follower slides for thin-wall tubes), and wiper dies, essential for preventing wrinkles in tight radius and thin-wall bends. Additionally, Entech offers Tube lube No1, a biodegradable lubricant suitable for heating, exhaust, general engineering, and aerospace industries, proven safe for brazing or welding.
