Company Overview and History
BENTELER is a global, family-owned business with a history spanning over 145 years, tracing its origins back to a small ironware shop established in 1876. Now in its fourth generation, the BENTELER Group has evolved into a significant international player, driven by a commitment to innovation and employee dedication. The company operates through two primary divisions: Automotive and Steel/Tube.
Products and Services
The Automotive division focuses on enabling safer and more sustainable mobility. It supplies a range of components and modules to the automotive industry. A notable innovation is the Hi Way Furnace, developed by BENTELER Maschinenbau at its Czech plant, for hot forming processes. This furnace boasts a usable width of 3,000 mm (total 3,200 mm), allowing for the transverse retraction of double door rings, which expands its application range. BENTELER is also involved in future mobility solutions through its HOLON brand, which is developing autonomous, all-electric shuttles, with prototypes undergoing testing and preparing for public road operations.
The Steel/Tube division specializes in metal processing, providing precision solutions in both welded and seamless formats. The company emphasizes its expertise in materials, manufacturing technology, and logistics to deliver high-quality products.
Commitment to Sustainability and Quality
Sustainability is an integral part of BENTELER's corporate strategy, with ongoing efforts to reduce emissions, enhance energy efficiency, and assume responsibility for environmental and social impacts, working towards a net-zero path. The company holds numerous quality certifications across its global operations, including IATF 16949 for automotive quality management, ISO 9001 for general quality management, ISO 14001 for environmental management, ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety, and ISO 50001 for energy management. Additionally, the Steel/Tube division holds API certifications (API 5CT, API 5DP, API 5L) and pressure equipment certificates, highlighting its adherence to industry standards and operational excellence.
