Core Products and Materials
Accuratus offers a diverse portfolio of advanced ceramic materials and components. A flagship product is Accuflect® Light-Reflecting Ceramic, available in B6 (virgin ceramic surface) and G6 (glazed surface) grades. Accuflect® is a diffuse reflector with 95% to 99% reflectance from 450 nm to 2500 nm, capable of long-term use at 1200°C. It is utilized in optically pumped laser cavity reflectors, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy reflectors, high-temperature luminaires, and solar cell furnace reflectors.
The company also provides Aluminum Nitride (AlN) Substrates and Components, maintaining an inventory of standard sizes with thermal conductivity up to 200 W/m°K. These are produced via tape casting or dry pressing and are compatible with various metallizing and dicing processes. Isostatically pressed AlN bars, rods, and tiles are also available.
For general industrial and academic applications, Accuratus stocks Ceramic Rods and Tubes made from aluminum oxide, mullite, and sialon. These materials are selected for their specific properties, such as refractoriness (aluminum oxide), low thermal expansion (mullite), and thermal shock resistance (sialon), offering cost-effective, electrically insulating, and high-temperature solutions.
Furthermore, Accuratus is a supplier of MACOR® Machinable Glass Ceramic from Corning Incorporated. MACOR® combines the performance of technical ceramics—high use temperature (up to 800°C), electrical resistivity, and zero porosity—with the ease of fabrication using ordinary machine tools. It can be machined to tight tolerances and joined through various methods, significantly reducing design-to-use time.
Custom Fabrication and Engineering Services
Accuratus provides custom manufacturing for ceramic, glass, single crystal, and metal matrix composite components to precise specifications. Their fabrication capabilities include diamond grinding for hard materials to tolerances of 5 microns and surface finishes of 0.2 microns, as well as green machining for cost reduction. The company also offers firing services up to 1650°C with controlled temperature profiles. With extensive experience in brittle materials, Accuratus offers application development and consulting services, assisting customers from initial design to successful implementation.
