Engineered Inspection Systems (EIS) originated in 1981, initially focusing on small parts sorting and later expanding into the sale and repair of non-destructive test (NDT) equipment. By June 1987, the company began designing its own eddy current testers to ensure optimal capabilities for its customers. This commitment led to the development of the 'Veritest' series, a registered trademark, and a name change to better reflect its market focus. Advanced Inspection Systems
EIS specializes in providing advanced eddy current flaw detectors, notably the Veritest 4.4 and Veritest 5.0 models. The Veritest 4.4 is designed for continuous production inspection of wire and cable, detecting defects like laps, slivers, cracks, and weld line faults in both magnetic and nonmagnetic materials. It is utilized in the fastener industry, copper redraw operations, and plastic extruding installations. The Veritest 5.0 offers similar defect detection for general parts inspection, finding applications in copper redraw, plastic extruding, and production assembly machines for surface crack detection in small parts. EIS also excels in designing custom inspection systems for specific needs, including high-speed part handling, thread integrity verification, point formation checking, and integrated packaging solutions, even offering combination systems like roll gauge with eddy current or laser with eddy current.
Cylinder Services and Sales
Beyond NDT equipment, Engineered Inspection Systems provides comprehensive cylinder services and sales. The company offers a variety of cylinders, from medical M2 to industrial 300 sizes, including 20# CO2 cylinders, all available with hydro testing. EIS performs cylinder testing up to 6000 PSI, including optional Elastic Expansion Tests for '+' designations, and complete cylinder refurbishing. They employ state-of-the-art technology, including testing for Sustained Load Cracks (SLC) in cylinders made from 6351 T6 material.
