FOMAS Group, originating from FOMAS S.p.A., was founded in 1956 in Osnago, Italy, by Professor Gastone Guzzoni. Products and Advanced Solutions
FOMAS Group specializes in the production of high-quality forgings, rolled rings, and advanced metal powders. Its forging capabilities accommodate ingots up to 125,000 kg and components up to 5,500 mm in diameter and 18,000 mm in length. Rolled rings, including small, medium, and seamless varieties, are offered with diameters ranging from 100 mm to 7,000 mm and weights from 1 kg to 20,000 kg, leveraging profiling technology for near-net-shape products. Under the MIMETE® brand, the group produces spherical metal powders (iron-, nickel-, and cobalt-based alloys) via a VIGA plant. These powders are suitable for additive manufacturing processes like Powder Bed Fusion, Directed Energy Deposition, Binder Jetting, and Hot Isostatic Pressing, with various Particle Size Distributions (e.g., 15-45 µm, 50-150 µm). The company also provides high-precision mechanical processing, surface treatments, and pre-assembly services.
